BEN BIZ IS OUR TRIBE
This is not a Social Media Pep talk, just some questions and observations
Do you know who your business tribe is ? Do You know what Village your tribe (s) belong to?
You are toooo busy for this stuff right?
Personally knowing your Tribe and Village will most likely save you money and time with the added bonus of better quality client engagement. Not every business needs Google or Facebook. Not every business needs global domination strategies. Have you disenfranchised yourself from what is within reach - Google and facebook count on this. - I love facebook but they have desensitised many for their benefit of services.
Tribes need your Interesting Content something that grabs their attention and builds trust.
Tribes talk, they are great primal advocates that engender loyalty. Keep your tribe topped up with fresh interesting content. Have you broken down your process, services and products into small bit sized packets and posted them? - it's free and Google is addicted to fresh new content.

'Being a little unbelievable often' and 'Unconditionally Willing' opens up Vision, Direction and Momentum. Looking beyond todays realities into what could be is always healthy, especially if you lead a business.
I have made it a habit to focus on one thing at a time, no matter how small, then set out to be Remarkable at it, Resourceful with it, Add Value to it (or don't do it), Surround it all with exceptional talent that can help me make it a reality.
This was born out of my most critical times (weeks) spent in ICU when I could not open my eyes, or move. It can become incredibly hopeless and life can drain very fast, but I could still think.

What Cash Flow - What Budgets
by Richard Purll
RICHARDS BEN CARD DETAILS
|
|
As Christmas approaches have you got a cash flow and budget showing what funds you need to get through the holiday period?
If you are likely to fall short on receipts, you may need to look at short term overdrafts or ramping up your debtor collections before Christmas.
For many non retail businesses the holidays are notorious for having low customer payments and of course workload to invoice new work.
This makes it even more important to have monthly agreements with clients where the years services are planned out and packaged with a monthly payment plan. This levels out your cash flow over holiday periods when new work has gone on holiday as well.

"PERCEPTIVE LITTLE HUMAN BEINGS! AND THEY WILL JUDGE YOU ON YOUR PERFORMANCE"
A well organised road map to succeeding in through the treacherous swamps of Separation and Divorce
DO THE TALK
The TALK: How To Tell Your Children You're Separating
HOW TO TELL YOUR KIDS YOUR ARE SEPARATING
If there's anything as or even more difficult than having to separate or divorce, it's telling your children that you've come to this decision and that mum and dad will no longer be together. It may be one of the most difficult conversations you'll ever have. It's natural for children to want to see their parents with each other so this announcement may give them their first heartbreak. As hard as it may be, kids still NEED to be told. They are perceptive human beings. They observe and feel more than we can ever imagine. Leaving them wondering in the dark and confused with what's happening may not be the best recourse. Adults see divorce for the complex situation that it is - the division of assets, children's time each parent, the financial bearings etc. Children, especially the younger ones, see it in self-centred terms, "Is it my fault?", "Who's going to take care of me now?", "Where will I live?", "Don't you love me anymore?". IF they’re not asking these questions during the conversation the alternate is these thoughts are just lingering in their heads. Either way, you would want to answer these questions as honestly and as assuringly as possible.
Rohan's article goes on to expand on how to cope, manage and succeed under a very difficult and distressful life event that family's may find themselves in.

What is land tax?
Who pays it ?
EXCERPTS Via
https://www.qld.gov.au/environment/land/tax/overview/about
Rate
The tax rate that applies depends on what type of owner you are, the total taxable value of your land, and if any exemptions apply.
Land liable for land tax
Land in Queensland is categorised as freehold, leasehold or state-owned.
Land tax is a tax on freehold land, which includes:
- vacant land
- land that is built on
- lots in building unit plans
- lots in group title plans
- lots in a timeshare scheme
- lots owned by a home unit company
Assessing land tax
Land tax is assessed (or calculated) on the total taxable value of an owner's Queensland freehold land.
We will add up the taxable value of all land that you own in Queensland at 30 June, excluding land on which you have received an exemption.
Different rates apply depending on this total value and what type of owner you are. You are liable when the total taxable value of your land is:
- $350,000 or more—for companies, trustees or absentees
- $600,000 or more—for individuals.
Reassessments of your land tax can happen when certain events occur, which may increase or decrease your liability.

RECOMMENDED READING
DO YOU HAVE A RECOMMENDATION TO BE INCLUDED IN FUTURE UPDATES ?
BUT ANGELA has something for you to read and action
Hi All
Sorry for hijacking your list Nelson but it is for a good cause!
You may remember a couple of weeks ago Reverend Jon from St John’s Crisis Centre attended and spoke and he had a list of food items that they are collecting for their Christmas appeal. I said that if anyone wanted to contribute I would arrange for the items to be delivered to them. So here is your reminder – stop at the supermarket on the way home from work, grab a couple of items and bring them along tomorrow and you will help Reverend Jon and St John’s Crisis Centre help those in need this Christmas.
If that sounds all too hard (the supermarket buying bit) and I know how time poor many people are then I am happy to do a collection of cash donations and buy the items on the list and deliver it to St John’s on behalf of BEN (as my mum is a member of the parish of the church that St John’s Crisis Centre is attached to).
The list was posted on the BEN Facebook group page and here it is below again –
I look forward to seeing you all on Friday with gifts or money in hand (which I promise I won’t put in my wallet – you know you can trust a lawyer don’t you!)

All you have to do is understand the concept of the Triune brain, control your breathing (Coherent Breathing), a 30/50% grip strength, and make your tools an extension of your body. Take all this with a perfect body weight transfer (mostly for sports), empty your mind and let your vision do the work.
Doing this perfectly will slow time so you can anticipate instead of reacting!

It all just flows right out!
- If you're naked in public, it's better to cover your face than your genitals.
- Dating is just hanging out with someone until you figure out what's wrong with them.
- Head-banging.
- Cheating in exams is just studying at the wrong time.
- is just very aggressively agreeing to the music.
- Golf is literally a sport to see who can play the least golf.
